RSVR spark plugs help.

Hi all

New to the RSVR. Two weeks.

Just a quick question ref spark plugs. Today I attempted to change the spark plugs, the rear cylinder is straight forward but I had to give up on doing them both because it appears the air box has to come off to get to the front cylinder. Would this be correct?

The front nut on the air box just will not come undone and then there is the pain in the arse job of removing all the tubes and electrical wiring attached to the airbox with screws in which you cannot get to unless you have a 1" philips screw driver.

Advice please.

Regards

Lee

Hi
I too had problems with the front plug.
In the end I didnt fully remove the airbox but undid it and pulled it partly up enough to get access to the plug.
I still could not get a socket wrench in. I had to use the special spark plug wrench from the tool kit with a spanner on top.
Hopefully you can manage this way without undoing the airbox at all. best of luck

Thanks George.
I just cannot undo the airbox front bolt either. Seized. I might just cut the two plastic prongs off so it free's it.
Thanks

As above , use whats in your tool kit , nothing else will work . Managed my gen 1 without taking the airbox off , it can be done .

Sorted everybody, with the right tools its a 30 minute job, tank up, airbox loosely off then out come the plugs. Its a learning curve for a new bike. No tool kit with mine.

Thanks for your comments and advice.

Lee.
