RSVR Cluch plate order?

Quick question:- I ordered a new genuine clutch - frictions and steels - for my 2000 RSVR and on opening them found that one of the steel plates is black with a notch in the outside edge. It looks as though it has been heat treated. Does anyone know if this goes in the front or the back of the clutch pack?

I take it that instructions where not included and that the originals you removed are not like what you have in your hands now?

I can see no reference to a steel as what you're describing, only some references to the chamfered steel edges being located on the outers.

See the attached document for reference.

Yeah - I had a look at the old pack and there was no plate as the one ive described in there but the steel plate closest to the centre of the engine looks as tho its been getting hotter than the others. Worst case scenario I will just re use one of the old steels and take note of the chamfers being on the outside. I cant open that word document - it keeps asking me to log in?

Put the plate that's got the blue marks and the notch in first, I've just replaced mine with EBC plate's, steel in first then friction, steel blah blah.
