rsvr 2008 ???

hi all, im new to this forum and new to aprilia's,
im in the market for a 2008 rsvr and was wondering if there was anything that i should keep an eye out for? like anything that goes wrong with them regularly ect...
ive been told something about the spragg clutch?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah look out for the older one, pre 2003/04, they're better, especially the yellow ones.

Hello Mate, welcome - if you do a search on here there's a hell of a lot of info available, the question is asked time and time again so you'll deffinitely find the info you're looking for.

I can't help directly as I own the GenI mille, things I know are the sprag probs (keep the battery charged and its not a prob generally), dash can reset if the battery is not good ............... thats about the extent of my knowldge of the GenII's

No real bugs in rsv's after 06. By then they had a new type of Dash, wiring mods to get rid of most of the problem connectors. Sprags can go on any year but only after abuse of the starter with a low batt. (All rsv's should be on an optimiser end of imo).

The immobilisor Ecu's can suffer from water ingress or connector corrosion and fail but it will be self evident if it has.

The rest is just normal bike stuff, check for weeping forks, sprockets/chain etc.

moving from an 2000 Mille to my RSV Factory My06 the only problem i had was the rear brake. Followed all various bleeding techniques with it working for only about 100 miles and then the rear brake was non existant again.

Solved it by putting in a higher boiling point brake fluid and haven't had a problem since 3k miles.
