RSVR 2002, Rev counter not at zero!

Just had this problem after flattening the battery and the clocks resetting. Turns out my rev counter needle had come loose a bit. I had to take the clocks apart and put the needle back on with a drop of locktight. I found the right place for it using the sweep it does to 6 grand when turning the ignition on

Happened to me today.

Changed the battery all ok turned her on and the counter kind of twisted 180 degrees.

Its now showing 9500rpm when the power is off.

The limiter light tough seems to work the right way.

Bet that the needle is loose.

Is it a big deal to return the needle to the right position?

Help would be appreciated.....

I had everything on my display reset on the weekend. I was out riding when I stopped I cut the engine but left the key in the on position. When I fired the engine up the red line had reset to 6,000, the time to zero, the speed to KPH and the trip reset. Is this a common problem? It wasn't a problem other than I couldn't reset the redline till I got home.

Your battery is about the give up... These bikes like Volts and Amperes...

Mine did the same thats why i changed the battery.

Sorted the rev counter it really cant be much more straight forward... just unscrew and screw back again. I did`n use any glue tough just pushed the bugger all the way in.
