Hopefully, if my link works this should be a slideshow of changes made to my Mille over the weekend.

Mods include Full Renegade 2-2 (and Haga Bellypan), Renegade Airbox, Harris Rearsets, Changed ECU Chip, PCIII. That's all for now. :devious

Did some changes to the bike over the weekend - before it was a completely standard Matt Black 02 RSVR. Quick suggestion if taking many pictures of the bike is to take the number plate off before you start, then you don't have to edit every picture :thumbup

They are huge picture sizes, but I wanted to show detail as they were intended for a how to as well.

Bellypan and Replacement Haga belly pan, already cut from factory.

P5020452.jpg

Bellypan removal and centre section between radiators to expose front downpipe

P5020453.jpg

Downpipe exposed, flange just visible

P5020454.jpg

Undoing the sump plug, just in case it became necessary to remove the oil cooler for easier access to the front downpipe (wasn't necessary in the end).

P5020455.jpg

Undoing the oil tank drain plug to drain the oil.

P5020456.jpg

Sump plug (large hole lower down) and oil filter housing cover removed (large recess and 2 smaller holes).

Front downpipe removed (3 bolts - usually pretty grim/furred as exposed to road crap) with penetrating fluid and patience - don't get this wrong as it'll be a pain in the @ss. Access pretty straightforward through the gap of the removed centre radiator panel.

Rear cylinder downpipe removal - can be a pain as access is tight without removing the shock, or at least unloading the shock. Also, one of the header bolts is tight up against the pipe meaning that you cannot necessarily get a socket over the head of the nut, and cannot access using an open spanner (and can't turn it even if you can)! A knuckle-joint for the ratchet and socket or flexible screwdriver-type link here will help.

Rear Downpipe removed.

Replacement Header - Make sure the surface of the header pipes are free of crap, smooth off with sand/wet and dry paper.

Offering up the front downpipe to the cylinder head.

P5020463.jpg

Front downpipe in place viewed from under bike

Rear header in place alongside suspension linkage

Mid-section in place, 2-2 system is welded together for strength, but no balancer pipe or connection.

Tightening up the rear header bolts after ensuring that everything is beginning to line up

System in place, time to attend to the restrictive airbox!

That looks excellent, snazzy ramp you have there too. :thumbup

PS. That BBQ needs a good clean and the grass is a disgrace. :doug

I actually rode mine at the weekend and stuck another 200 miles on the odometer. I quite like it when it doesn't break down. LOL

Loving the ramp, wheres that from?

Bike looks really sweet , a fair bit of work done over a weekend there boy

Thanks for all comments, Pete has to take the credit as it's he in most of the pictures, his ramp, and his skills.
On the other hand, he also has to take the shame for the state of the BBQ and the grass :)
