Just running in my RSV4r. The clutch sometimes "clicks" at the lever on downshifts. Has anyone else experienced this, is it normal? I'm thinking it's just the slipper mechanism. Any feedback would be welcome.

I have the same issue......I hope its a simple thing and can be fixed when its goes for its first service........ive olny done 400k's so far, and my nuts have paid dearly.....LOL.

Oh great.....Is there a fix the slove the clicking?....or is it a "YOU"LL GET USE TO IT" fix.
And another thing even with the clutch fully pulled in (with 3-4mm of play) the bike still want to move forward when you come to a stop.....bugger!.....any ideas on that one?

cheers
Baz

Hi Baz,

I never notice mine anymore TBH, i think as you say 'get used to it', i think you need some adjustment to the clutch cable if you still moving forward, mine never did that. I fitted Pazzo levers and did some fiddling with mine but if i adjusted too much i couldn't find neutral :dunno

ah great...thanks for the qiuck reply Mick.....nice to here from people that have similar issues...thank again.

cheers

If it is simply a small click on downshifts this is normal, mine was clicking when pulling away. This was because a washer in the mechanism had been fitted wrong and was an easy fix for the dealer. It is not uncommon apparently.

I experience exactly the same on my Tuono V4. I get sometimes a resistance when I pull my clutch lever away.
Since my dealer is apparently not able to fix that issue, could you tell me more about the washer which was set wrong on your machine ? Where is it located ?

Thanks !

Any clicking at the lever on downshifting is normal. I now have a BMW S1000r and it does the same.(Ramped slipper clutch). As does my friends Blade.
Clicking when pulling away is the washer problem. Not sure of the details as the dealer fixed it (30 minute job).Dealer should fix this for free under warranty!
Dealer who fixed mine was Orrell motorcycles:01942 218 181.
