Hi everybody I'm a new rsv owner and new to the forum. I've purchased an RSV1000R on a 10 plate (not rsv4) I've been out on it about 5 times now, BUT the other night I was out on it with some mates! (good ride) and as I aproached a junction I pulled the clutch in to go down the gears and it stalled? so whilst still rolling I pressed the start button and she fired up again (has not done it since) BUT now whilst on tick over the rev counter is showing about 500 rpm (needle only moves slightly from the stop) but the revs sound normal, about (1000-1200rpm). It seems to rev normally ie whilst riding etc??? I wondered if it was to do with the rev limiter coz I did hit the limiter not long before it stalled (was set at 9000rpm)? but I've reset it at 10500 and its made no difference. the only time she ticks over showing 1000rpm is when she's cold and as soon as the temps up the needle drops below? I was given 3 KEYS with the bike 1 key being a MASTER to reset the ecu??? but the guy told me NOT to use that I'd fry the ecu??? so I'm unsure how to use it or if that would even work. ANY IDEAS GUYS AND GIRLS?
