I know its subjective, but comparisons can still be valid. hearing youtube clips doesnt give the full effect i'm sure.

I like something with a beast of hells gate - 'stood on a plug top' roar. not a fan of POP-POP-kak-POP-BOP-BOP-BOP.

I had the mivv xcone sport line on mine and it was a deep roaring noise, and sounded amazing, gutted I sold it really, mivv have a really good sound I think, everybody thinks different as its personal preference isn't it but mine is mivv definitly.i looked on YouTube at this certain can and there's one clip of them and it sold it for me listening to that clip plus there was a baffle with it so all good

I bought mine with a Mivv GP Carbon. It sounds just like an italian bike should, even with the db killer in.

Rob :)

going to 'Metalcamp Slovenia' in the summer (hopefully on the RSVR -- pop out for a quick blat in the alps after breakfast lads???) AmonAmarth, Machine head, Napalm Death for a few in the lineup ;-)

so yeah, in terms of Zorst note.. I see where you are coming from there.. and yes.. DeathMetal growlers please.
what sound you after dude?
hip-hop, drum and bass or death metal?

there is a youtube vid of a guy that has cored and shortened a pair of think standard cans on a gen 2 think hes in greece.....................all i will say is for feck sake totally GWAR

having listend to clips over and over... the Mivvs sound amazing.. but a clip is only a few seconds long. I like long rides, common to do 3-400 miles in a rideout. I think the Mivv's might be too much. The Leo's are still a really nice sound quality, if not so loud and raw.. going to bring Akra's into the mix (baffles out) as I've been offered two sets.. used scuffed Ti, and new stainless both at great money.

need to hear them for sure.. might buy the stainless too because they are a good price and would sell on easily.

whats a pair of akras worth immaculate in stainless?

I love my Leo's, and everyone I know comments on how good they sound, even non bikers. Great quality too. It's all subjective though and down to personal taste. I do like the MIVV's, but I wouldn't change my set up for anything else. :thumbup

at idle i like what i hear with leo's. not so keen on the pop-pop of the mivvs
blip throttle on leo's sounds like they move toward the sound of a 4cyl race exhaust.. blip Mivvs.. my spine tingles.

BUT It came to me earlier.. you dont ride a bike around blipping the throttle.. you push it.

Stu.. can you tell me how they sound as you wind on at corner exit up to full throttle?

I mean.. does it develop into more of a howl or a roar at full whack

Hello mate, they defo have a roar to them, but then I run mine without the baffles in. Not as deep as some cans I've heard, but defo still a booming V Twin sound. I ride with guy's who have had most other makes of exhaust on their RSV's, an I wouldn't change mine for the Akra's, Arrow's, etc that they have had. As I've said before though, it's all personal taste. :thumbup

The trouble with most sound clip's is that they don't give a real indication as to what an exhaust is really like.

very true.. the mics in phones and cameras can rarely catch the depth and bass notes...
thats cocked it up long before it gets to your earphones/speakers.. which usually lack the bass and cock it up more so..

and the file compression too. Sound clips are just nothing like the real thing. You'd need a very expensive recording/playback setup to get close to the sound and even then you'd still be missing stuff.

hey guys.. on the subject.. I modded a mates ZX636 stock can, made a video. Used new Panasonic FZ100 Bridge camera.. stereo mics and a real high bitrate. Please give it a watch and lemme know your critique ;)

I happen to know on a good sound system, its pretty damn accurate (but its not trying to record a twin for sure)

I love Ti cans but not full systems, theyre paper thin and brittle. my 02 mille blew chunks out of the rear cylinder pipe, not happy that akra wanted me to pay for all the 3 pipework sections (900).
Link pipes look ace when blued though
dya wear earplugs?
