I'm looking to replace a front oz alloy on an 06 bike. Are all year models of this alloy the same> as I have seen wheels advertised from 2000 and 2004 bikes which look identical (apart from colour). Cheers.

2000 - 2003 bikes had a different width at the hub as they are non radial braked (2000 bikes were also painted wheels not anodised). The last of the 03 bikes (r models) and 2004 - 06 are the same. From 06 onwards they were no longer Oz wheels (Malgatec) but they will fit your bike.

Thanks gents. Looks like it's best to play safe and keep to the later model wheels, I'll keep my eyes peeled for that bargain that NEVER appears??:eek:h

If I remember correctly Badger had a set of wheels for sale. Don't know if they are away or not.

I have a pair of 06 blue oz wheels for £500 or a set of gold 07 wheels for £650 for bare wheels if that's any help.

Cheers.

Thanks guys, as this is intended to be a track bike, trying to keep the costs down and I only need the front in gold (don't bother riding in the wet so don't need spare set - I know I'm a pu*sy, but don't enjoy spinning around circuits, too many bad memories). My front has a slight buckle at one edge, can they be straightened or is it curtains??

I'd recommend Motoliner in Maidstone to straighten things. They couldn't do my front this time as it was slightly cracked inside, but they've done wheels and discs for me before. Dymag also repair/refurbish now I'm told.

Hi Spoonz, You seem to know your wheels!! I have decided that I'll change the wheel rather than repair, as I have spotted ripples inside the rim with the tyre removed, apart from some stress cracks. I have noticed that a few other models use these wheels (Oz) for example BMW G650 X Moto which is 3.5" x 17" rim? Are the rims on the RSV (06) specifically made for that model only or are there other options? Cheers.:confused
