RSV starting issues (yes my battery is fully charged)

It is my birthday today (happy birthday to me) and I had a rather nasty surprise.

My RSV-R wouldn't start. It turns over fine and the battery has been charged (and replaced last week). Every time I press the ignition button, the engine turns over, but the fuel pump primer comes on (as if I was turning the key), you can hear the noise it makes. There is also a click (although that seems to me to be the solenoid working as normal.. or not?). Does the solenoid need changing? Is there a wire which has been dislodged? I don't think the cylinders have been flooded, as i've been careful not to start for too long.

Bike history: I got it in November, It's done 24k miles, I've recently replaced the speedo sensor as it died, replaced the battery last week and I rode it yesterday without any problems and today I cleaned it with a hose and warm water.

It's not the tilt sensor either as that is fine.

Please help!

they do flood really easily.
try full throttle while starting to see if it clears.
I unplugged the injectors when I flooded mine bad and turned it over till it started without them to burn off the fuel then plugged them back in to start normally.

Well I tried after leaving it to rest for a day and did as you suggested (full throttle) and hey presto! Extremely happy, thankyou!
May replace the plugs soon as they are probably rather old!

Make sure the dyio (Maybe spelt wrong) is connected properly as mine wasn't and I had intermittent
Starting problems. Neutral light kept going out when stood was first thing I noticed. Thought it was everything and any thing check all electrics first dude.
