lol welcome to my world. Brought my 99 mille about 4 weeks ago and then my rear brake seized wonce warm. waited to cool then was fine.
Since then I have changed the pads/caliper and lost my brake all together.

It seems I've busted my master cylinder but it sounds like you have Air in system or the pushrod needs ajusting.
You hvae to bled the system in a funny way. If you have a quick search on here you will find out how. its not worked for yet as the m/c is bust but it will.

quick link to my posts. some top information here

I suspect the rear brake is getting hot and locking on due to the adjusting rod out of the rear brake master cylinder not having enough freeplay. Do a search for the correct amount of freeplay needed

What rear brake?

My Mille-R has had the same rear pad since new, and after 19k, it's still pristine. Don't bother with the rear, it's only there for the MOT; I only use the fronts, and what stopping power there. Honestly, the engine brake has more pwer than the rear brake...

I ride all year round in all weathers. If I didn't have a rear brake I would be flat on my arse :)

I ride Hastings to London every day of the year, even in the snow. The weight of the bike is on the front, so the best stopping power would come from the front. I thought it was crazy when I first heard that, but now it makes sense, and nevr use the rear brake, on any bike.

Rear breaking is really usefull around town's. Can use when your to hot into some bends just to take a little speed off without the bike wanting to sit up. Also helps when the front wheel try's to nut you. Some people like em some dont! Personel choice. Hello from Hastings :thumbup

Been on the back wheel a couple of times and needed the rear brake to help me.
Until I didnt have a rear brake, I didnt realise how much I really use it.

Well its a week now and I still have a strong rear brake :)
