derestriction... now i know there are a few posts regarding this matter (yes, i did quite a bit of searching here, and other places as well), but I haven't seen anything 2004 specific, US model. Not sure if it matters, but the plate says 7/03. I saw a few pictorials on which wire to cut, but they were all on the older models... which wire do I cut? Does it need to be done in the first place on this model? What about the airbox? I already have Akrapovic slip-ons, which came on the beast, so I assume there is no restrictor on the exhaust (other than upgrading the headers of course). If anyone has any insight, please lemme hear it. :dunno

Thanks :biggrin

Newer model 2003.5 onwards RSVR and Factory, won't need any derestriction. Only MAP2 needs activating for use with open or race cans. Also base CO2 levels will need resetting to avoid poor low speed running.

Welcome to the forum.

As Legs says no wire cutting on the later models, just needs someone with access to Axone to set it for Map 2 if it's not already been done. (Get your throttle bodies and CO set up at the same time)

Do a search on this forum for the Hooked air box, well worth the money and improves performance like you won't believe.

Have fun :doug

Ideally the T/B's need balancing for Co2, they should be set slightly out from one another (cant remember the figures) to get the best low speed running and ensure optimal setup.

what needs to be done to the throttle bodies?
