Big decision to make!!!!

Almost constant back problems now mean that the Millie is getting painful to ride. Love ma Aprilia V Twins so am looking to either sell the Edwards Rep or swap for a Touno R (it must be the R model)

Anyone have a Touno R and looking for the Millie?

Mine is on a 2003 03 plate, 11 000 miles, all the usual bits including a double bubble screen, mint condition.

Not too sure of value, but looking for around 4K as it's the Ed Rep.

Drop me a line if interested

Cheers

Hey Bob, my mate's got a set of Variobars for sale -they're actually for a later model Tuorno and I think they're 51mm - I know they were a couple of mill too small for my 53mm Showas :)rant).
I seem to remember that the old model R Ohlins are 51mm too - anyone able to confirm that? Maybe you can measure your forks.
He wants £125 for them and they've never been fitted so are as new (his dog ate the box though). That is around half the new price.
PM me if you're interested and I'll let you have his mobile number.

Hi mate,
Thanks for the reply. I have asked Bear if he has a photo of them fitted to his bike, I would be quite keen to see how they look before buying.

Also I will need to check the size, is it 51mm across the top of the fork?

I will hopefully pm you for that number soon.

Thanks again

Bob

The best bet is to measure your fork diameter just underneath the top yoke with a set of calipers if you can. Then if you phone Gareth (my mate) he can do the same with the bars, just to make sure. They are really nice bits of kit and give you a 40mm rise plus I think you can angle them up a bit to give you a little more rise (not quite sure about this, you'll have to ask him).
I'd have had them myself if they fitted mine.

Might want to be a bit more accurate than that mate - we're only talking 2mm and you don't want to buy them and find out they don't fit.

Just found a chart on the Harris site that says the RSVR forks are 51mm for handlebar fitting. Assume your are standard size Ohlins - right?

Skinney cheapo seal leaking Ohlins 51mm

Beefy non leaking Showas 53mm

:biggrin

Er yeah, except I've got mine booked in with Griff to do a ... fork seal on my Showas. (And to work his magic on my suspension set-up):doug
