RSV Mille - model differences?

This might sound like a **** question, but here goes
my new mille is on an 02 plate, but has 2000 stamped on the frame.
I just bought a double bubble screen that was specified as for use on 01 - 03 models.
who's in the wrong (as my 02 plate falls right in the 01 - 03 category)
it would make sense to me if the model changed after 02 but not before

sounds like you've got early model.
Quick easy way to tell is 98-00 has no wind deflectors on top fairing and metal tank, also has larger side panels with no mesh venting

ok cheers, mine has a metal tank, so it must be the 98 - 00 model, is it normal for this to be on an 02 plate then? seems a bit of a delay?

My RSVR is a 2000 model on a W plate with the solid side panels and no wind deflectors but has a plastic tank

Basically your bike was made in 2000 but was not sold or registered till 2002, happens a lot:thumbup
