Couple on eBay around the £160 mark if that's any good to you, bloody expensive. I've been looking, but not quite for the same thing....when you say 'damaged', in what sense? I need new 'glass' for mine, as it's cracked, but of course no-one advertises knackered clocks that I could butcher. If yours are completely shot but are physically in one piece, I'd be interested...drop me a line. Cheers.

These clocks are doing my head in.........i got one with a fast flashing indicator now and again but casing is good, bought a cheapo one with fooked casing but it was just to see if it cured the idicator problem......IT did, so i swapped casings...........great i thought got a working dash well cheap.....today it went blank and wont come back on......Swapped to old internals with fast flash inidcator so i can get to work......so again i'm on a hunt for a set of working clocks

Garvey....Check out Flicks "garage clear out" he has 2 sets....and he's a good guy.

Alright fellas could you tell me if the clocks are married to the imobilser or somthing like that ,the guy at the dealer said it was so i couldnt just swap them in or was the guy just being a ****????

As I understand it (disclaimer right there!), the clocks are literally just a readout from the ECU; the only INput they have to the bike is to identify the model to the ECU. Now I can't for the life of me remember where I read that, but it was somewhere in the last couple of weeks whilst I've been looking at them. So as long as they're for the correct model, yes you can just swap them out (just beware of the early model's (03-04) reset issue).

Garvey m8 ive been hunting for 4 months m8 no joy fleabay is no good ,ive given my bike to my pal whos an auto electrician he says he knows people who can sort the board in the dash, so if you can find or know a good auto spark thats probably the cheapest road to go down.....

+1

FWIW, here's the offical line on CAN bus traffic between the ECU and the dash:

I.e. as druadan says, there's only the odo. (of which no use is made) and a model ID sent from the dash back to the ECU. There is no bike-specific authentication used.

Last time out on my '06-F, I switched the dash with a spare and had no problems doing this. I didn't have to touch anything else.
