RPMs increase during shift

Hi everybody,

My 03 started acting weard on the last ride of the year the other day. It just turn 30000kms and the service text appeared. It has just had a full service (since 2500kms) and it rides like the wind, no problems wse.
Now all of a sudden it started to increase rpms during shift-ups. Whats that about? Like all others I gas down (of course) but instead it increases rpms to about 3000. If I then keep the clutch in and the gas off, it stabelizes at the usual around 1000-1200. Its very strange it has never done that b4.

Any ideas?

oh, during last full service it was dynoed to perfect balance.

Check the throttle cable as not got trapped or kinked and the butterflies are not sticking in the TB

yeah +1

Check the screws holding the butterflies havent come loose, someone on here had this happen and the bike was a full throttle.

It was Scotts bike Tim.

I'll put my money on it being loose butterfly screws or a damaged/kinked return cable.
