Anyone know if we hav been screwed over on road tax. Didnt see any mention of it in the budget, or is it done on the sly as per usual.

The free tax on small efficient cars is designed to encourage people to think twice about buying a car with a big engine or one that is harmful to the environment.
I think it is on some sort of sliding scale, with electric cars the cheapest.

Didn't they put an road tax escalator in place a few years ago?
Like they did with the fuel in the 90's and look how well that turned out

It'll be a case of pay up & look miserable.
Just got my insurance renewal reminder in, but no price on it, have to ring, so they can "give me a good deal" was £155 last yr, so we'll see
