Not sure if anyone can help but I have got a road angel 2 that came with my bike. I never bothered with it but I thought I would try it a few days ago. When you plug it in it should search for satellites and then in a few minutes you are away. Well I tried this but it just continues to search for satellites, even after 2 hours! I plugged it into the car so I dont drain the bike batt. Its just a vauxhall zafira so there is no fancy windscreen blocking the signal.

Any ideas????:dunno

They are a bit temperamental and it could be it needs re-booting, our sat nav is a bit the same , sometimes it's ready to go before you switch it on(!?) then other times it appears to be in a teenage strop and won't do anything but sit and brood.....Did you get any destructions with it!? Or as Little1 suggests it may be a 'payment issue'!!

don't know road angel specifically, but there should not be any fees or subscription needed to get a basic signal - the satellites broadcast a straightforward series of time signals that the device triangulates from. Subscriptions ae usually to get map and speed camera updates and real time traffic info. Some of the GPS systems I do support can take several attempts to work out an initial fix,and can give problems if their internal clock is way off, so worth checking the clock if it has one

But if I buy a honda blackbird I'll get men in tight shorts with moustaches winking at me? :jack

Yes the subscription is just for updates. I think its probably just ******. Never mind.

mate if you have time to look at it whilst riding you need to buy a scooter
