6 years and 60'000 miles, only to be taken out by a dozy driver who thought it was ok to do a u turn on a dual carriegeway. Bike toast, wrist smashed in 5 places, foot broke and bruised ribs. What do you mean, RIP?!!! From the photo's, your bike's not dead anymore than you are. Seems all the damage is bolt-on bits which you can easily do yourself in your garage (once you're fixed, of course). Come on, you love your bike, so don't give up on her now just because of some ****.

geezuz Mark, glad you're relatively ok - now as far as I'm concerned she should loose her license plain and simple (and should have to retake her test again!!oh and by the way ............ that'll polish right out
j/k I'll take it her insurance will be stretched to sort you and the bike out!Swinging arm bent, sub frame bent, gear lever forced into the frame, top yoke broke. Plus as noted the bolt on bits.Bike hit on left, but went over onto the right onto central reservation, No witness's, so will have to wait to see outcome.
Looking at the pics. it doesn't look bad, but far more damage once you look.
Read on here a few times regarding people having trouble with a tip over sensor, made me wonder if mine as one fitted, as it was ticking over happily on its side, and starts perfectly now.

That looks Cat D to me....buy it back off the insurance company and sort it out....looks to be an easy fix and there are loads of s/h spare parts about...

Yes, waiting for insurance assessor, to contact me, hopefully claim off other guys insurance. Not going to claim on mine unless forced to.
Wine/painkillers very effective.
I can't do anything till the insurance side is settled. So, not sure what I'm going to do, it all depends on them.
As it is, over the years I've collected various parts, so have a spare tank/carbon baffles/carbon side panel (though the wrong side)mirrors. Even a swinging arm though its the older design.
Bottom lne, I don't want a new mega horspower superbike, and have kept this bike so long as it suits me and has been one of the most reliable bikes I've owned. Still starts perfectly now despite the battering.
I'll decide what I'm going to do as I say, when the insurance company's settle who's paying and what.
