who cares ... oh. ok ... the midlands. Shropshire
Christmas hols are fine ... but I was getting stir crazy.

Got up this morning at 0715hrs ... weather dry and promising ... 6.5'C

Took Harvey for a long walk (anywheres a long walk for a mini-dachshund!) and by 1000hrs the sun was really giving it a good shot ... temperature up to 11'C

Right says I ... that'll do me!

Rushed home ... togged up and rode to Abergavenny.

About 1/2 way there I was passed by and then rode with a bloke on a Superduke.

Only a couple of dozen bikes at the cafe but had a laugh with a couple of blokes from Bristol, a hot coffee and a bastard mince pie (only cos they were on special offer)

Good run back to Broseley ... 90mins including a toilet stop.

The roads were not greasy at all ... and apart from some loose gravel and **** where tractors had been in and out of fields it was no bother at all.

Verdict on man tights = 10/10
Inner gloves (another me pressy) = 9/10

Anybody else been out?

Had a good couple of days but unable to razz as outlaws and kin showing up. #

Still glad of the mild weather , up to C.D tomorrow for a couple of days and then back for Hogmanay ,I`m booked .

Good on ya man, thats what there for. I look out window each morning hopin for a dryish road, got some tyres waiting to be fitted, at a garage about 20mins ride away, soon as its dry and garage is open I'll be there...fD

Yep, went to Skegness on mine today, new gloves but still got cold fingers when I got back, feet were warm as toast in me new booties.
To be fair it wasn't that cold on the run over, just the last 15 or so miles in the dark. :thumbup

hopefully get out next day or so, all a bit of a shock really , yer dont expect to be out this time of year, so me bikes buried in the garage somewhere, i think.

whats the forecast fer w/e ?

new years day jount anyone ?

Where you booked H ?

I got out today as well, all the rain had washed the salt off the roads .At first the front felt like it was wandering all over the place.Tip of the day allways check your tyre pressures if your bike has been layed up for a few weeks,I am a muppet.:banghead

Over this side we have had 3 weeks of decent riding weather, mid 30's nights and mid 40's F days with blue skies and no wind/rain/snow, it has been great:thumbup. Now it has gone and we have a week of rain to contend with. Doooh!:bawling. In the words of the american bard: **** happens!:kicknuts

I have put the T on the optimate & hopefully if the decent weather holds out, I will be out over the new year period.

I have been getting my bike fix by venturing out on the Dominator though.

Quick blast (30mins) to check alls well for new chain & sprockets , much better at low speeds due to 42 t rear . Great to get out , hopefully out again over new year .

aye...ye cannae beat a winter tootle tae shak the cobwebs oot....

Did ye go 15 tooth front Rawls as weel as the 42 oan the back....fairly maks a big difference at lower speeds and revs doesnt it, transform the bike IMO

Don't know if I should post this, but what the ****.
Got shot of the fiesta last week and bought a Volvo C30 2.0D, so as the roads were dry got it out and tried it out for size. Handles very well, and the Turbo is mint, bit like a 4 wheeled T for the grunt.
Okay then, let the piss taking commence....

**** me that's both ends of the scale covered, a bucking bronco mental bike and a volvo lol !!

That tickled me Welly. Need a pipe to go with it tho.

Did you clock the name of the seller "turn of the century design" ... although to be fair he doesn't claim any particular century!

Hi guy's, I too managed to get out on the 'T', down here in 'tropical' Cornwall. Got out for an hour and managed to open her up a few times, hell that bike accelerates!!
Best watch out if you've had a lay off she might catch you by surprise! It really does blow away those winter blues tho, recommended!:thumbup

Drove home from Birmingham via Stourbridge, Bridgenorth, Much Wenlock & thought how plesantly dry the roads were. About a dozen or so Bikers around & about. Thought to myself, wander whether Welly/Mr Chips/Zippy/ ****** may be up for a ride tomorrow, might post a meet at Dinky's diner about 12.00ish for a wee hour or two's enjoyment for anybody Shropshire, Welsh Borders who might be interested. However now sat here in the office & there'es a howling wind & driving rain outside so shall post pone the thought for now & lets see what happens over the next few days.

Previous owner already had the 15 on Rico but definite difference just putting the 42 on in place of the 40 .
