hi all, i'm new on the forum and to the aprilia, i've recently noticed that the revs seem to drop about 500rpm when i come off the throttle in all the gears from about quarter throttle and up, seems to be there the whole way through the rev range. it doesnt seem like i have any clutch slip on acceleration? has anyone else come across this symptom before? bike is 2004 rsv 1000 r
cheers......Gav

Might be your clutch needing a bleed m8 there good that way keeps you busy any mods on the bike m8?????

i just had the slave cyl. seal done as it was leaking but its still the same, she has carbon can co. cans, pc3, titex levers and hyperpro steering damper

Man, try this: Readjust the clutch if its adjustable to loosen it a bit. Then start applying the clutch as slow as you can until you feel the clutch sinking without pushing the fluid.Try this a few times as the seal will stick itself to the walls if you generate any kind of compression with it. If your clutch mananges to go all the way without generating compression in the lines there is your problem. The second seal on your master is gone.

I cannot be sure this is your issue but its easy to check if your seal is gone. Mine drops to 500 rpm on deceleration as well and the only issue I have with it is that seal. I am waiting for the repair kit for the master cyl to be delivered. If the repair on the master cyl keeps my rpm up il try to remember to let you know :)

Is there a custom map in the pc3 for the cans m8 ,mine had a problem with the throttle position on the pc3 and there was a big hole in the throttle from closed it didny feel right really lumpy ,once the throttle position was adjusted the bike effin flies .it might just need a super bleed if the slave has been off then there could be air somwhere, but it sounds like youve got a sweet ride m8,are there any tracks near by where you can let her rip????

so it sounds like you have a similar problem to mine, open her up then shut the throttle say at about 7000 and it just jumps down to 6500 before dropping normally and no obvious slipping on the way up the revs? was thinking the bottom of the master cylinder was looking a bit grubby today but the lever seems to be holding the pressure fine today, i'll try out what you said cheers

not sure what map the pc3 is running but the problem only came into it recently, the mechanic also dyno'd it and the graphs look nice and smooth he said he could improve them put u'd hardly notice the difference on the bike, i'd say the previous owner had it custom mapped but on ecu map 1 and with an o2 eliminator, i had it switched to map 2 when i got it 6 months ago, she read 143hp and 86ft lbs on the dyno.
booked in for a track day in mondello park at the start of july :thumbup

Sounds good m8 proper power too,Enjoy the inline 4s cant keep up in the corners but its bloody anoying on the straights but if my meory serves mondello doesn't have much of a straight or i could be wrong the tracks the home for these bikes anyway m8 enjoy..
