Bonzerjoe here. I ride an '08 T since new. My question to the members is, should I go on to the V4? I ask this because the V twin has had some niggles. Replaced stator at 8K/$1000, and most recent being an abrupt stoppage of the motor for no apparent reason, (see first post). I've ridden the V4, and read the rave reviews, hell of a bike. What say you? My concern is one of dependability. I want to ride without concern for mechanical issues. Prior to the T I rode a BMW R1150RS. Very dependable, and compared to the T, quite boring. Any problems inherent with the V4?
Thanks for the input

Just go and get the V4. Life's too short to piss about dithering. You'll have fun on it, and that's all that matters.

OEM from Italy since Aprilia has no parts wharehouse in USA, $690 labor =+/- $1000. Didn't know at the time about Rick's motorsports stators which are likely better than OEM. Live and learn. What else I've learned was anything Italian is expensive and temperamental. Should have gone for a Ferrari and Sophia Loren.
