If I cant find a replacment eal I`m gonna have to buy a second hand clutch master. (cant afford new)
I`m wondering if any clutch master of another bike would fit, or does it have to be 02 rsv?? And if maybe there would actually be any that would be better than an rsv one???
Suggestions???

Its doing my head in now...

Theres a couple of chaps on here breaking bikes at the moment, try Jon (Cuzza) or Mark at Time Machine Bikes (Not on the forum but google Time Machine Bikes)

Cheers fella I`ll track em down tomorrow. May have to jut get an rsv one if I cant be sure if something else will fit, would much rather repair mine! but hey ho...

so, why don't you repair it? i guess it's the seals. if so, no problem, they cost like 10 euros :)

Because from what I understand you
Can't buy replacement seals for that master cylinder, and although apparently you can get seals that fit, I don't know which they are or who sells them! Unless you do??

Steve you seem to be getting a bit stressed about this, If it's a Gen 1 bike then KTM sell the parts as they use the same unit. The master is the same up to the change to radial 2004 (ish).

You could fit the later radial unit but they are mega bucks.

If all else fails speak to Griff at A.P he can and will give you all the advice you need on getting it sorted (I am not associated with Griff btw)

Lol cheers fella. Yeah a little bit! Yeh griff did my last service. Totally forgot to ask him! Calling him now! ;)

yep, i know where to get them from. just wait a few hours, i have to get home, it's in my favourites list on my home computer :)

What exactly does "radial" mean on a master cylinder anyway?? I mean on the clipers its radially mounted giving structural advantage, I get that...
By pair you mean brake and clutch yeah?? hmmmm that IS interesting...
Be much of an upgrade from mine you think?? never been too chuffed with the brakes on the haga tbh...

your current lever is on a pivot, there is a lump on it.. as you pull back, the lump moves right pushing the piston right... the 'cylinder' is oriented parallel with the bar..

a radial cylinder is oriented perpendicular to the bar. as you pull backwards on the lever, the piston is directly connected moving backwards also, ..its a more direct linear connection improving feel. Also they generally bite harder too..

yeah I think anyone that has done an upgrade like that felt it was worthwhile.

Excellent description. Can definitely see the value in that, going to give it some serious thought!
Thanks man ;)
