Hi all, :yes

Just wanted to tell you all that I have just bought a YTX14-BS battery from Sportsbikeshop.co.uk for £39.99 (inc delivery).
I think that this is the cheapest price I've seen.

Just in case anyone else is thinking of upgrading their battery.

I agree just paid £44.00 [inc delivery] for a Yuasa ytx14-bs on Ebay :banghead

After much deliberation I just bit the bullet & spent my hard earned bonus on a LFX19A4-BS12 12V 19Ah Lithium Battery for my RSVR Ltd. With 285A CCA Capacity I'm hoping that I don't have any of the crappy starting issues I've had in the past for some time to come.
Never had one before & someone has to try one I suppose, just don't ask how much!
Now, how long can I hide the credit card bill from the missus?

Do you need a top box to fit it to the bike...? :laugh
That's some cranking power.....you could always use it as a backup for the national grid. :lol

i got one of these for the tuono...all it did was let me down and bolloxt up the sprag...they dont like damp, cold ....you need to switch on the lights and leave the battery to warm up which defeats the object 110 notes for a pile of ***** man.and 140 notes to replace the sprag. i use it to blow the airbeds up when i go camping its small and weighs nowt...stick to the yuasa 14 acid battery and keep it on a battery tender when sat in the workshop for any period of time ....

Forgot to mention that I also ordered the aprilia battery clamp for the larger battery.
I bought it from apriliapartsbuyer.co.uk It cost nearly £10 The same part from the states is only about $1.50 how do they justify the huge price differential. Ignoring any delivery charges the uk price is almost 1000% higher than the states for thr same Aprilia part no.

Ho Hum...... :dunno :bawling

its madness gray....unfortunately like here the us overseas postal charges are repugnant as are the customs charges imposed on us here and then you need to pay the handling and release fee added by the post office over here as well...its called ****!

you could have just fitted a longer bolt like the rest of us tight gits for about 15p :thumbup

Nowt to do wae the big balls batteries in the T but I did a wee bit of research into the li ion bats.

I have a machine wae minimal charging capacity, it's not fired up for 4 months and is kept in ma van all year round.

Got one of the li ion bats and it stars every time it's asked.

Would I buy one fir ma T,,,nae chance.

I replaced the original battery on ma T two years ago after 5 years worth of faultless starting with the same ytx12 and still no issues.

And only once did the original need a charge to start the machine.

A must be a lucky fud.

My fav combination mucker,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,also echoed by a few engerlish roses I Kissed.

oh well......looks as if I overspent (again) ...I bought an agm 14 ah jobbie.
bit dearer than the yuasa I suppose....but tons of cranking power.

As long as you feel happy that you won't have battery issues in the future, then job done. Getting a bargain is purely a matter of luck.
