Just done the mod so I thought I'd put this on to help anyone else about to do the same thing. I bought an original Honda Fireblade sidestand (06 model) retail price £63.00 as trying to find a used one is nigh-on impossible. Anyway the sidestand is the only part you need, it's an easy removal of the old one and the new one fits straight on...simples.
This is the official part

funnily enough did this mod myself last week....fortunately i tracked down a used one for £18.....a good mod, bike feels much more secure

The same, but the Yanky one is spowzed to be bestest. I've had a Bubsywubsy on for 2 years now, no probs, an it wer free ;-]

I have the Busywoo one on and it is a lot better than standard one. I also have two of these stands spare. One as been fitted so I know it works the other as not been fitted. Was fitted to gen 2 Tuono. They are for sale if anyone is interested £30 each including post anywhere in UK

Nice job, anyone know if it's the same stand used on a Gen 2 to alter the lean angle?
Same question asked and answered in posts #3,4 and 5.
Although it does'nt alter the lean angle of the bike. The stand sticks out further when down, making it more secure.

hi,i would be very interested in buying one of your spare stands if you can contact me ref payment method.Im ready to get rid of my tuono if i cant resolve the stand problem. Its doin my head in,i dread dismounting from the bike and then worry the whole time im away from it that it will be upright when i get back.Does the original bracket fit ok.Cheers Wes.
