Replacement seat covers

As the subject is on ...........anyone got any recommendations for a slightly grippier seat cover than stock as I find myself shagging the tank a lot even with grips now applied to the tank sides!!

I was thinking mebe alcantara material for the seat but think this maybe to grippy but not to sure as I have never rubbed leather against it ....OOEEERR....:dowhat

yeah look good... are they waterproof though ... and are the Gen 1 bikes seat the same as 04 onwards ...different part numbers but they look the same
 
Have one on that is made by the Custom covers and its perfect. I Can recommend.
 
You leave the original seat cover on & just stretch these over the top & fix with 6mm staples :thumbup
 
I removed the original and stapled the new one to seat - tried also leaving the original under, but it was better without. Have a couple of these so bought a second hand seat from fleabay ;) with the pneumatic stapler it`s like walk in the park ;)
 
so are the new covers waterproof then ...don't wanna remove the old cover and get wet rotting foam ..?
 
Watch the fitting vidio on the listing :thumbup They are waterproof but as they have lots of stitching there is a possibility that if it's left outside in the rain for long periods it could seep through the stiching & make the foam wet :dunno
Fitted mine 2 years ago & it's still perfect but the only time my bike gets wet is when I wash it :biggrin
