I bought the quality exhaust packing sheet that does'nt burn so it should be good for ages

Just wondering fella , someone on here will inform us i guess ... does the bike run any better with it re packed. I guess its giving more back pressure at least :thumbup

Well the only difference in the end can is i took off the wire wool around the perforated tube and used the packing sheet direct onto it, did'nt really notice much difference in performance TBH just a lovely deeper tone......:thumbup

Mine were fookin' loud for the first 10 miles or so after repacking but have now got the nice deep Tigcraft bellow again....

I need to do mine too, what were them web sites v8 and did you say you ordered two rolls? was that for one can or two?:thumbup

Edit; found the web site but just checking about the number of rolls needed per can

Interesting thread. I recently fitted a second hand Renegade exhaust system to my Tuono and with the baffle in it was as loud as a loud thing! When I had it serviced by Fusebox yesterday I discussed it with him and came away with some new packing to play with. I fitted that today and what came out was mostly disintegrated so I expect some improvement. Starting it up in the garage I noticed a definite improvement but the real test is to ride it - Tomorrow! What I want is a deep note. (I'll worry about the baffles out once I get the basic improvement). What was interesting was the packing I got from Fusebox was just loose stuff. Non of your poncy, pre-rolled, high priced stuff here. I did 2 cans for less than the price of one (can) of pre-rolled kit. It was so easy to do I couldn't believe my luck. I'd used the pre-rolled stuff before on another bike and looking back I realise what a waste of money that was. (That's the Yorkshireman in me). What I guess I'm saying is that the expensive kits may not be the best way to go. The loose packing was so easy to stuff in.

I'll keep you posted after my test ride tomorrow.

Was MooreSpeed. One roll per can.....

Being a post whore this morning....

The stuff that came out of my Tigs was burnt to buggery, had to scrape most of it out with a big screwdriver and that had only been in the cans for around 5K.
Could be a yearly task for most riders (4-yearly for me then :jack , the problem with having 3 bikes!)

I used ally rivets cos i couldnt get any stainless steel ones, will change them now i know where to get them
