Hi Guys,

Today was the first time in 2 months i've managed to take my bike out for a good ragging, (i work looooong hours!!) after pulling over outside my girlfriends place of work for a quick chimwag and and a marlbrough, i return to my bike to find some t*wat in a Range Rover :jack had backed into it, knocking it over, and in the process scratching the ***** out of the LHS, i have been furiously trying to find some replacement bits but can' seem to find a good place to buy, i've spent hours looking on eBay but that's no good
Does anyone have any suggestions?? (my budget is quite tight btw!)

I need;

LHS main fairing (red)

Decals for the LHS end can (akropovics)

LHS wing mirror

Clutch lever

LHS Foot peg

Rear RHS indicator lens

LHS wind deflector, and last but not least;

LHS bar end

Please help, i'm going out of my mind!!!!

Ps. I don't want to claim on my insurance because i'm paying a bomb as it is, and old nob ed won't accept responsibility!!:angry

Dude if it isn't your fault make him pay, thats bs! Your bike didn't fall over by its self! I dont have all the facts but surely you shouldn't have to be responsible for repair.

grrrr, if the old nobber wont sort you out find out where he lives...leave the wagon on bricks and send him a letter saying you dont accept responsibility.

Then sell the wheels on ebay for the money for parts...

Sorry mate, just hate it when ppl dont own up to damage..what ever happened to you bend it you mend it?

Apart from that, I know it sounds obvious but why dont you have a word with your local aprilia dealer as they not only have new parts..i recently found my local one has an aladins gave out back when i told him i needed spares for trackdays etc...

Yes m8 you shouldn't have to pay for the damage yourself :rant

arr mate i feel for you try typing in ebay aprilia breakers then find all the shops and send them an email with a list of parts and fingers crossed someone will get back to you with a bit of good news

chin up mate

If you dont want to torch his car and kneecap him, give me his address.

I fackin hate range rover twats nearly as much as hardly wavidsons...

I have a pig farm too.

mate that realy sucks,why should you pay,it was,nt your fault.did anyone see it happen??i would report him for leaving a scene of an accident with out leaving his details and if the old bill wont help,find out where he lives and get round there(every day if need be)and keep telling him he's got to pay....

and if that dont do it theres always the piggies......they get rid of any evidence :devious:devious :biggrin

I agree with the comments above, did you report it to the police? I was thinking that you should report it to your insurance company but they'd probably end up going 50/50 and your premiums would rise.

As for parts, there's at least a couple of places that advertise in the back of MCN each week, specifically Aprilia parts. Try the web site if you haven't got a copy to hand.

Make him pay it's his fault. Even if you were parked right behind him in the wrong place it was his reponsibility to check where he was reversing. If you don't have his details etc, then it might be cheaper to pay the higher premiums and let the insurance pay for the repairs :dunno

Agree with all the above and couldn`t you just beat the crap out of em!

Try ebay.com and .ie. I have found all sorts that you couldn`t find on the .co.uk.
Quite alot in Germany too. (oh and Auz) Just keep an eye on the exchange rates:thumbup

i have most of it in stock, some new, some used.... will check..

do you need top fairing or side?

you could try this http://www.mib.org.uk/MIB/en/AboutMIB/Default.htm

have a look at least you might get some ideas

just a small part of the site:::::

"Making a formal complaint to the police under Section 154 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. (Section 154 makes it an offence for a person against whom a claim is made to withhold details of insurance"
