Has any one fitted Renthal grips or used them before?

I'm thinking of fitting some to the Mille but not sure which compound :dunno

ive used all compounds and prefer the softer ones to be fair

but there all ok just a case of weather you like hard grips or soft ?

Just fitted a pair to my hybrid, hard compound which is similar to standard grips. Do Renthal make grips to fit on standard RSV throttle tubes?

renthal are all are the same .
all oe throttles tubes need modding to fit them neatly if they have the ridge etc to hold the oe grip

CHECK length of your throttle as the grips come in 120mm 125mm 130mm etc

then you need to use a good glue which renthal also supply

i use a dremmel type tool to remove the plastic ridge on the oe throttles so the grip fits snug.

Good advise cheers mate

Weekend shopping list is dremel and I'm gonna start with some soft grips

I fitted renthals to my RVF, made massive difference to the feel of conection to the bike!

Ive always used soft or medium compound renthals but only needed the glue with the soft compound (you can use hairspray instead), if you do use the glue be carefull not to get any under the twist grip...

First time you put them on it will be a pain in the arse, leave them in hot water for 5mins to soften them up first.

I put Pro Grip 732s on my 2004 RSVR, and found the triple compound certainly made the daily commute much more bareable by reducing the vibration and numb fingers. They also come in closed or open ended, so make sure you get the right ones. I found that putting a small washer on the thread of the bar end weight pushed it out just far enough to avoid any rubbing/sticking of the throttle when releasing the grip for it to return to the neutral position.

only prob with the thicker duel compound type is there a lot thicker.

i find thicker grips give me arm pump with winter gloves so good for some and not so good for others.

the idea of renthal race grips is so you have more feel and why racers dont use thick grips :thumbup

but there a damn good road grip with thin gloves:thumbup

strangely i find the millie is vibe free grip wise unlike the busa gsxr1000 il4's before it .

have you got the inner weights removed ?

Renthal has some pretty good grips. I'm using the Kevlar ones and they are great (if you don't mind the yellow colour)

Soft Rentals all fitted and very impressed with the feel. Not sure how long they will last though but now throttle grip has been modified so popping new ones will b easy ( best way was to soak in hot water and wiggle on cheers Shunt for that one).

Also got a set of pro grip 732gp on order for a comparison test.

I looked at the Kevlar Renthals ,great bit of kit but a stupid as it sound the colour put me off.
