I have a few scuffs on the tail section of me RSV from carrying stuff on the back,the elastic of the bungees seem to have damaged the paintwork,I have tried T cut,is there anything else I could try to remove the scuffs that won't make things worse?

Rub back and respray mate, only way to guarantee, could always try farecla G10 or G7, make sure you use them with water but by the sounds of it you have gone through the lacquer. Whip the tail section off in winter and get her sprayed up.
