Hi, New to bike and looking to remove ECU and send it out for changing to map 2, looking for proper procedure and or any tips , tricks or warnings before I do this.
Always disconnect the battery before you start.
Then earth yourself properly...ie, touch chassis.
This should discharge any static electricity.
Also, don't forget to wear a tinfoil hat.
(OK...that last one.....maybe not )
I thought map 2 could be done by a dealer via the diagnostics connector in the tail and the ecu didn't need ot be removed?
Or did I mis understand that?
