Recommended oil?

Got an 05 R and thought I might do an oil and filter change.

Busters are currently doing a 4L Castrol Power 1 10W/40 with a free filter for £30.69:

Anyone any thoughts on that or another recommendation?

Always recomend a 15-50 for the RSV, I can do you 4l Motul 15-50 with filter for £29 delivered.

with the temps we have been having a 10/40 would prob be better than a 15/50

The Motul stuff is great. I have been using it in all my bikes. I was buying it from Hein Gericke when they did the deal. The last oil I bought was Hein Gerickes "own brand" - apperantly just rebadged Motul oil. Was £20 with a filter for 4L. Don't know the prices now.

Oh yes that says 15/50. I'll go for that then, same price anyway!

So will 4l be enough? Manual says stick in 3.5 litres. Was told on rsvr.net that would need more than 4 litres though??
