Recommended Front Rotor Replacement

I've been looking for rotors to replace my OEMs. I've been on AF1racing and see they're about 250 for each one. I've also seen the wave look-alikes on Ebay from Hong Kong. Has anyone ever tried those?

I have a friend with an 08 R1 and he got the Hong Kong Wave look-alikes and hasn't had any issues.

Wouldn't trust those Hong Kong jobbies myself, I bought a set of Brembo Ducati 996 discs off ebay that'll fit all RSV's, paid only 70 quid for the set and they are like new!

I'd stick to Brembo, a decent second hand set will be better than a new set of Hong Kong discs for sure.

My mate also got a set of the "Hong kong" ones and he say's there great,he's had them for months used the bike all through the winter and said he'd buy them again.

Motorsport Aprilia Wareham do OE sunstar ones. I think mine were just over £200 THE SET including pads and delivery!! They were doing some sort of offer the other week

http://www.motosportaprilia.com/product_detail.asp?id=406 £120 for a pair of discs, so that would be about right as pads are about £70-80 and it's recommended to change the pads.

Hong Kong stuff aint bad...used the levers and discs on various bikes with no issues quality wise....discs did glaze after 6000 miles but that was due to caliper problems.
But Brembo's aint overly happy with wavey's in some cases....i'd just stick with stock stuff for the RSV

i got a pair of OE discs from an Aprilia dealer on Ebay.
there may be some good cheap stuff out there but there is also alot of rubbish

what ever you fit run the old pads for a short while to help bed the discs in

Run Braking Wave disc's & they have been & are outstanding
