after blowing up my street mille (well, not actually, just a rod bearing) two days ago i've started to rebuild it from scratch. i own a motorcycle shop in bucharest but sadly it blew up in my hometown, galati where i don't own a garage anymore (i currently live in bucharest) so i decided to build it in my parents' flat on the second floor :))))) first, the engine :) the frame & the rest will be up by the end of this day. and now pics, ofcourse :)

WELL, THINGS TOOK A WILD TURN! a friend of mine who owns a car shop said "why don't you go turbo?". and i said "why not?" so he went to his shop to bring me a garrett t-28 he has lying around from one of his old projects :))))))

How will the turbo deal with the output of a big twin? Will it survive!

Rob :)

well, among many, many other applications the t-28 is also used for turboing c5 corvettes. so i'm preety sure it will survive :)

V8 power is totally different to V2. Much smoother pulses of exhaust gas. I'm sure I read somewhere this is not easy to do.

oh, i thought you were referring to the volume of exhaust gases! yes, the pulses are not so smooth but it's doable. there are lots and lots of turbo harleys around :)

well, it sems that my crank is kaput! no worries, i've dropped my track engine in. in the mean time i've called carillo for some custom rods. now i'm trying to figure out how much i can bore out the engine. i'm thinking 1200 cc, stroker motor and big-bore. i'll have to do some research. more pics tonight!
