as title says was just wondering if any of you guys knew what the correct torque setting is for my rear wheel spindle bolt is the bike is a 2003 mille thanks rick.

Haynes manual - 90 to 100nm. This is less than the Aprilia torque setting which the manual says has led to rear bearing failures.

Don't you have a manual?

thanks for the reply not had the bike for to long its my first road bike and i will be getting my manual for my christmas pressie thanks for the help rick

who's Rick?

Can anyone more knowledgeable than me comment on the Aprilia 120nm V's Haynes manual 90/100nm torque setting?
Does anyone know if the tighter torque does lead to rear bearing failure as suggested? I've never had the bolt loosening issues with using 90nm.

I think his name may be Rick!!! I use 100nm rear and 80 nm front and no issues!! 120nm seems pretty fecking tight!!!

I use 120, coz that's what God told me to use :) I think he also said 50 on the front axle, front sprocket and also on the rear sprocket carriers, but I could be making that bit up! Oh, that's on an '07, which may be different from the old ones.

Have genuine Aprilia dealer workshop manual which says 120Nm , but as above Haynes manual say 90-100Nm ? Set mine & all my customers to 120Nm for the last
4ys , check wheel bearings as part of on going servicing never a problem . Use what you think is right I guess .....
