well i need a new rear tyre front looks like its new but back is nearly ilegal, iam currently on pirelli diablo corsas ,is it adviseable to just get just a new rear as times are hard and the pennys are short ?:dunno:confused

You should be able to get a rear for £100ish if you shop around :thumbup

I usualy change the rear, as long as the fronts ok. Usualy go for the same make/match tho.

My rears down to 2mm, but the fronts 5mm. The bike came with Conti sports, so I will put another conti on the rear, hopefuly when thats shagged the front will be too, then I can tyry something else.

I got quoted £108 fitted to a loose wheel, that was from a local mail order firm was a 180 :dunno

cheers lads i will have to get one . did 2 weeks comutting to work to lincoln 90 miles a day that shagged the tyre  got to go now watch gp practice on eurosport see you later

Yup well 180 is probs a tiny bit cheaper than a 190 but not a great deal in it. Tyre size is just down to personal preferance. Loose wheel will be cheaper than a ride in/ out price. It saves a lot of hastle letting them do it as it aint always easy taking the back wheel off in your home garage. £108 is a good price but I prefer to pay a lil extra and ride in/ out. (would still check the chain etc after tho cos you never know with those guys!:thumbup

Your right about double checking things after tyre changes, some real horror stories with tyres being put on backwards/wrong direction and chains being to tight. Things like that can be life or death.

I have tha same tyres, and the same problem! My back looks like Ive been burning it!

quite a lot of tyre deals around now that are 2 rears and 1 front so shop about
mcn is a good place to look
