has anybody tried some rearsets of a different bike as a cheaper way to reposition the master cylinder?

did you fit it underneath in the original position? which one did you use and was it any better!

LINK TO PICS I like the master cylinder in its original place because its hidden.
I think the original brembo cylinder is a cheap bit of ****, no wonder it gives so much problems. I chose the CBR1000 master cylinder because there are rebuild kits for it, no such luck with the brembo. It was pure luck it fitted the way it did and it bleeds easy and works a treat.
Suppose you could pick any master cylinder really and make it fit.

Does the CBR master cylinder have the same mounting bolt centres as the Aprillia/Brembo unit? If so which year is yours from?

Thanks mate, I have Gilles rearsets and want to put a better master cylinder on my bike. I will look at the mounting bracket tomorrow to see how much movement i have for 5mm over size.
