Rear seat conversion questions

Hi, just purchased my first RSVR and can't wait till its all cleaned up and painted....My question is, the other half wants to come on it and I read that I need a double seat subframe. What else is needed beside the subframe, rear pegs and hangers....can I use the rear seat fairing, does the pillion seat fit on this or is the rear end completely different for a rear seat?

All tye existing plastics will fit, all you need is what you listed. If you decide to go ahead I have got a subframe.

Only thing that is different is the seat lock bracket...just chop off the 2 outer lugs it will become clear once you are at that stage

Really don't know what to offer mate, they go on ebay for £40 too £80. This bike and prices are new to me...what you asking mate, give us a clue!?! ;o)

Make sure you get the right seat for the yr...

I did this to my R a few yrs ago the missus went on it ..... Once. Alter your preload i didnt and it was uncomfortable for both of us.

Would suggest you get some grip netting to put over the pillion seat to stop her sliding forward onto your seat and smashing you bollocks against the tank.

Ah here we go, new this would start getting into years makes and parts. I have a 2001 model, have no idea which rear seat to get now...any ideas. I was wondering what that grip netting was all about!!!

See above... The 98-00 seat is longer and has a more pointed but curved end.

I think the wrong year will actually fit just may look a bit odd..

That looks like the correct one, as him for the Aprilia part number, it should be AP8796203for the 01-02 seat.
