Hi there , today I noticed a small oil leak , I think its from the gasket on the rear rocker cover , I undid the 6 Allen keys but I was not able to remove it , it seemed to jam up on the cam gear side , does the rear head have the Balance gears in it ? , I didn't want to force it but I'm sure there must be a knack to it , or am I just being too girlie ,, any advice welcome , cheers Mark R

I have had mine off to do the shims. IIRC the cover is a bit of a juggle to clear the cam gears, but it will come out.

Thank you HS , I will have a go over the Easter break, I gathered it was just a bit of a faff , the main loom that runs by the bottom right hand corner on my bike will not allow it to move enough away from the cam gears , but at least I know it will come out , Cheers Mark R

Yes the wiring loom is tight but it will move to allow the cover to come past, it also is a pain to refit without getting the gasket misaligned.
Good luck

back again, today I was determined to get the cam, cover off . , I lifted the tank higher and moved the loom , this time success , swapped gasket and cam cover from the old engine I had , took my time refitting making sure the gasket was in the lip on the cover ,,, and BINGO no oil leak , just took it out for a run , no more little puddle in the side stand , Happy days , thanks once more HS ,
