Rear Brake Reservoir Mount?

A

amb67

Just purchased a set of Griffs fine rear sets and have come across a little problem, well I say problem it's not a real problem more of a what's best!!

I came to fit the rear brake reservoir and could find many places to locate it but not too sure where is best.

This is where you all come to my rescue and give me your ideas/piccies! :thumbup

1. Attach the reservoir to the rear subframe behind the seat side panel?
2. Attach it to the petrol tank breather pipes just about 3" or 4" away from the master cylinder?
3. Cut out a small section of the lower panel next to the battery and mould the reservoir in to the plastic section?

Anyhow I'll stop rambling on and let you lot show me where you mounted yours! (Pictures will be most welcome)

alan

i've mounted my resvoir off the top hole in heel plate
Just put a little spacer in to keep all pipe in line etc

all mine get tucked up under the side panel mate!
The bar thats attached to one of the rear sets at the back is for mounting to the front footrest mount on the offside and hooks up under the side panel keeps it clean as a whistle!
cheesys version looks wicked too! but he's the man!:thumbup

All finished and piccies are a coming, they look the bollox. :doug

Decided in the end that the reservoir looked best fitted........

cool mate cheers, just ordered some of them rearsets meself, but with a little twist, hopefully see the griffster up here if you fancy calling in, that would be sweet.

Amb wheres them pics slack arse :nana

Slack arse indeed, some of us have real work to do, don't you know. :nana

I'm not saying I'm a fussy bugger but when I do a job it has to be 100% right, that's why it has taken me so long to fit these bad boys.

I chose to fit my reservoir forward of the master cylinder to keep it away from the heat of the exhaust pipes.

Just one bit of it I hate and that those rusty old clips on the brake reservoir, gonna PM Griff and get some nice shiny new ones posted out. :argh

I'm gonna replace all the reservoir pipes and clips whilst I'm on the case so will need 6 clips. :idea

That is ***.

Think it'd look better if it was tucked away though (nudges in ribs and gives Griff a knowing look)

hehe!!

looks sweet mate!
im super stoked you love em as much as i do!!

looks the bollox on your bike!!

Super super stoked mate (Said in Alan's finest Midlands accent). :doug

I only have one regret and that's I never bought a set sooner, makes the bike fit me rather than me fitting the bike. (If that makes sense :dunno)
