Rear axle

Just taken oot ma rear axle for first time to replace tyre.. I loosened the axle nut on the RIGHT side and pulled axle out from LEFT side...... after reading manual it should be other way round:dunno:dunno... its been fine like this for 3k miles so dont hink itsa prob, should i put it bak same way or way manual says?? what are your bike like.. its a gen 2 06 plate

The manual is wrong, every Aprilia I have ever seen is line yours, nut on the brake side
 
aye in frae left fur me too, mah RSV wiz same. As are maist bikeys ah wid say.

Tighten 120N/mm if ye got a torque wrench or if nae jist rump the bugger up but dinna ower dae it, its nae goin any where!

Its probably because the dosey feckers were looking at it from the front of the bike...
 
Another idea, as he / she is Italian there is a fair possibility they were looking in the mirror whilst writing the manual. Lol. .....
 
a lot of images are scanned from other manuals, and end up mirror imaged.


just a thought.
