Really!!! 16k?

My colleague has seen one sell for just over £12000 in Estonia.
Second hand with 11000km and that was from an Aprilia dealer. He was desperately trying to buy the Edwards that was being sold in Scotland on this forum a few months ago in order to ship it over to Estonia.
I may be biased as I own one, but I have heard of these bikes commanding huge premiums in Malaysia.
I would certainly pay £12k for the one being advertised if I had the cash. I paid slightly more for my MV and IMHO the Edwards is a far superior bike.

anyone know how many were actually made for the uk.been a few on ebay in the last week.

theres another on there for 3.4k says reduced price but in the last week or so it seems to have lost its twin Akra system

have mine for £8000:biggrin:thumbup.Mines number 145.I see on ebay that one states there were 461 produced and 45 introduced to the UK,is that because of the texas tornado racing number 45 and did other countries get 45 as well.Perhaps Jake may be able to answer this.

Hi Guys
The Texas Tornado got "Number 1" off the production line. So essentially 460 were sent out to the wider public.
45 went to the UK and 50 went to the USA. All 50 of the American models came with a Carbon Airbox.
I have seen at least 3 imported "Edwards Replicas" on eBay.
So with a bike that's now 7 years old, taking into account the few I have seen being stripped on eBay , bikes that have been crashed and written off I wonder how many of the true 461 remain.

That Mondial sure looks tempting :rant:rant:rant

put a deposit on one in claycross in chesterfield about 2 years ago 8000 miles akra twin exh mint nick £5999 . my compo from an accident didnt come through so i had to let it go but at the time there were 2 on ebay for £4500 so i did own an edwards rep for about 2 days

I don't care if it's made from rocking horse sh*t. For £8000 i could have 3 or possibly 4 second hand bikes.... and then with the other £8000 I could have that extension to my garage I'd need to put them all in.....
