Fooking useless brain dead dealers. :banghead
I ordered my new Factory from my local dealer, rather then going to a better regarded dealer (Premier Bikes) who had one in stock because Windy had just traded his 05 Tuoldo in, and they weren't really keen on having two such similar bikes in their used stock. Fair enough I thought, they didn't actually refuse, but they were obviously reluctant.
I figured the couple of weeks I would be waiting would be OK.
It has been one pile of ***** after another. :no
They rang me on the Tuesday 20th - It's here, he told me. :thumbup
"Great - I can pick it up Saturday then?" :yes
"No, - we can't do it that quickly?" :dunno
After much arguing I am told the 28th.
I ring my insurer - they are in Belfast, so the email me a pdf copy of the cert as well as posting it, to help out with the postal strike. I forward the email to the dealer.
Wednesday 21st - they ring back, it's not your bike it's someone elses R model. :bash
The insurance you have sent is no good, the local vehicle licence centre wont accept it. :dunno
I ask about online registration, and the fact that the DVLA access the insurers database etc.
No, can't be done. :banghead
Tuesday 28th, the ring again, "Your bike is here"
"Really?" :rolleyes
"Yes it really is yours this time.
Still waiting for the posty to bring the cert at this point.
Cert arrives Wednesday post, I am out with the lad who was interested in the Tuoldo, so I hang on to see what he want to do about the bike, he says no Ta later that evening.
Thursday morning I jump in the car and drive the cert over to the dealer,
"Oh he's already gone I am told."
What?
The chap who does our registrations, we do them on Thursdays and Tuesdays. He's already gone.
At this point I am thinking in terms of which motorcycle accessory to beat this tw@t to death with.
Can't he go back when he gets here? tomorrow? Can I do it? :dunno
After a litany of ******** excuses I walk out as I really am close to losing my temper and clocking the useless excuse for member of the human race.:kicknuts
As I type this I am still waiting for a delivery date, frankly at this moment I would rather have my deposit back and look at other dealers a little further afield, I might even keep the Tuoldo till spring.
I really hate this type of person, as soon as you ask for anything it's a list of whining excuses. When you compare them with a good dealer, with a good attitude - say Southern Cross in Kilburn - they make your blood boil. SC will go out of their way for a customer, they stayed open in June to fix my fuel pump - (blew it's link pipe) and helped Liz and I get away the same night to continue our Holiday. Other dealers just sucked their teeth and said, 7-10 days for parts. which would have destroyed our holiday plans. We weren'tn regular customers, we knew about them through mates on the AF1 forum. On a trip down south Windy & I met Dr Jon and Hairy in north London, we called in to SC - Windy's oil pressure sensor was weeping. A lad at SC changed it out for him without draining the oil, and they charged him just for the part.
Sadly SC no longer sell Aprilia's or I would have bought it there.
It's at times like this that Honda's start looking good again.
