Radiator Guards

I'm ordering some later on muself for the 20th run up to yours. So I reckon 16 44 gearing, 12k service and tad guards should do me fine this month

Thanks found them & just ordered some black aluminnium ones.

Good choice Sir....That's what I have...perfect fit, and they look good too. :thumbup

Mind you, I'm told they are pretty easy to knock out of old B&Q meshing at about a fiver a pop. (useful if you get stranded and feel like having a barbie whilst waiting for the AA :yes)

Watch out with that gearing I'm on 16-42 & getting no more than 80 miles before reserve light comes on. Got witnesses that can vouch.

Intensive riding, but isn't that the point.

I'm getting about 130 miles at the mo Mick and hardly get into 6th. It'd just take mine up from standard on a Gen one to the same as stix's and he's getting about 130 out of a tank also on 16 44 but can get into 6th more than me. Just feel like a change. If it doesn't work can always swop back

Nob I'm all for saving money. What do you put around the edges of the wire from b&q though and how do u attach it

Just cut them neat and they will press in to a couple of places. I held mine sturdiererer by passing some thin copper wire through the rad fins and twisting it together.
I did a step through for the old site. Be gone though. Mind you, Bats did the same, I bet he's still got the noddy guide.

Better off going in tert shop mate. Be about 10 quid. Its on the end of an isle near the fixings and bits of steel and alloy rod they flog. Any stripped copper wire will do, seeing as I'm a spark I was wallowing in it. I used a bit of 1mm though.

Where's this walkthrough then?

I cannot be arsed with thinking meself

PS your bits are still in the pipeline. Surprise surprise the lazy twats had done nowt while I was away. Pps they'll probably be 6000 ally now. Ok?
