Guys, I e got a bit of a strange one for you....... As you know I have fitted a 2007 Tuono radial front end to the Gen 1 trackbike. The forks are straight and true, the gaffer serviced them for me prior to fitting. The discs are also straight and true the OZ wheels are genuine RSVR 2000 models. Now, I fitted the spacers between wheel and disc, got tyres fitted yesterday and started refitting everything.
My issue is, as posted yesterday, that when the front wheel is fitted, the rhs disc (as sat on the bike) lines up 100% bang centre of caliper/pads however, the lhs discs rubs on the outside edge of the caliper????? So, I removed the spacer from the lhs between disc and wheel, refitted and now runs perfectly central through the caliper/pads!!!!
My question is, why????? I am waiting on the spindle arriving from a Gen 2 which I am hoping is slightly different from the Gen 1 but having looked online, they all seem to state they can be used from 1998-2008 so seems as though they should be interchangable. My second thought was that the front wheel spacer may be thicker on the Gen 2 but the spacer side of the setup is the spot on side???
Can anyone think of anything else that would cause my set up to only warrant one disc/wheel spacer to be needed???
I'm stumped!!!!!
