Nasty. I much prefer the Akkies with the hex caps and the highmounts. The Quills look to scrawny (the 'Prilla is a beefy bike!) and they cover up to much of that gorgeous swing arm. Maybe side by each and up under the tail...

yep just what i was thinking, funny how you try to like things when you wana be a little differant,
thinking of these microns now as theres not a lot about, whats your thoughts?

This is my T with carbon Quills on. Don't know if the picture gives them justice but they are super nice and a lot comment on them.
They are very meaty with baffles in or out. BUT, I have made this observation before, I reckon Akras sound better. This is I think because my cans are shorter than Akras or most of the other makes. Its something I've noticed a lot that the better/deeper sounds come from longer cans.
Of course its all about personal opinion but what I can say is that the Quill boys give a lifetime warrenty and stand by it.

This pictures do not do them justice. Also I had these on my Rsvr for 3+k and the T for 1600 and no probs so far. I just measured them and they are 400mm. I reckon if they were 450 they would sound better/deeper.
Most importantly tho £500 fitted aint to bad for carbon.

cheers mate,
to be honest i far prefer the carbon silencers for looks and it was my first choice, the only thing that put me of them was when i spoke to quill they advised against fitting carbon to the tuono as they can give problems,i didnt ask if they would still give a lifetime warranty on the carbon cans cos if they do youve got nothing to loose,i ordered the microns about an hour after i posted this thread so its to late now:yes
the other thing that quill advised against was the lightweight tri cans as there made entirely from ultra thin titanium not the normal thickness of all there other cans but then again i dont no if theres a lifetime warrenty on these ones, they said its mainly the aprillia that damages these cans(so i was told):dunno,
theres a link on the af1 aprillia forum all about this,up to now theres no carbon cans that i no of thats had the carbon break up:cheers

Me buds got Microns on his SP1. You've made a good choice. The Quill chaps said the same things to me as you. I only live down the road so its easy for me. Any way I told em if out happened I'd go down and stuff em up their chuff :yes
I've had a few bits and pieces off them and their sound.

I like the stock "Aprilia Racing" cans from '06 that had the brushed darker can. Purdy!!
