Hello, I am the happy new owner (2 weeks) of a Aprilia 1000R 2007. I have sieved the net looking for a "Cheapish" quiet exhaust, quieter the better. My reason is I'm a Nurse working early shifts at the Hospital and I want to keep the neighbors happy. Jon

You could push it down the road and start it. I've done that before for 3 years where I lived once.
if you already have the standard exhaust on, and its too loud.. you will not find quieter, not even akra's 
The simple issue is, at 1000CC and only 2 cylinders, there is a 500cc pop coming out each time.. if you change to a gsxr750 for example, (similar power figures) you will have 187cc worth of pop each time, and twice as often so creating a smoother flow out of the exhaust... my point being.. if quiet is a priority, Twin is not for you.
