Quickshifter and/or slipper clutch anyone?

Thinking of treating myself over winter! .

Quickshifter can be had for about £260 (Dynojet, straight plug into my PC III) and slipper clutch is around £600 for an STM or I found this thread (http://www.rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php/252-PTR-Corse-Slipper-Clutch) with the PTR Corse one for £450 but no feedback so far!

Anyone fitted one to their RSV, good or bad? Worth it or not? Any difficulties installing?

After looking on AF1 Racing, I'd probably go for a "push" type quickshifter and install it on the inside of the gear lever and then attached somewhere above (I believe they come with a sticky pad but I would try make it more stable if it was a bit naff!). Slipper clutch is possibly a bit pricey for just treating myself, but if they get some praise I would consider it.

Cheers.

I have the STM clutch fitted and it's the best mod I have done to the bike..you can just dump the clutch on the down change even under heavy braking and the rear wheel stays in shape. the clutch lever is miles easier and you can find neutral from first gear..do it and forget the quickshifter.

It's not a proper slipper clutch, just a vacuum operated one. You can still very easily lock the wheel when you're pushing it (like I did on track! arse clench moment!). With a mechanical slipper you can literally just dump the clutch at whatever rev's and it'll be fine.

Got the quickshifter from Tash for £210 delivered, result! :). About £50 off the usual!

you dont need a slipper clutch, just let that back end slide sideways when you've dropped it down the box, +1 on the QS though.

Alright Andy that wont fit the RSV with standard rear sets, the QS fit's on the shift rod but RSV's dont have a shift rod. Hope this helps mate, I have a QS in stock to fit for £210 delivered plug and play with PC111 USB.

Do you supply one for the non USB pc3 ?

have pic of a push type QS fitted to a GENI mille somewhere Andi - I'll dig it out, basically he drilled the gear lever and the frame just above and fitted it there so can be done

Deacs

The one Andy was looking at uses a Shift rod pressure/tension sensor, the one you are refering to is a Linear travel sensor kit.

Matt, Dynojet dont do one you either need a USB PC111 or a Quick shifter unit for £265 plus the QS at £210, or I can supply one from Translogic. It is a plug and play unit and I can do one for £350 delivered.

Cheers Mark, I think I stick with the clutchless method lol
