2004 factory.
I have a std chain and rear sprocket but a 15 tooth front.
After reading about more wear using the 15 sprocket,
I plan to fit the original 16 tooth and get a 43 for the rear.
My question is will the chain be long enough?
Thanks

As for the chain length, dunno, sure tash could help, 15t front sprocket more wear
********, been running this for 3yrs no probs with wear

As eloquent as ever Shane lol i'm sure your part vampire wot time is that to be up lol......???????oh if its any help m8 i ran 15 front and 46 rear nd kept the same length of chain as Shane says wear isny an issue and performance upgrade well makes up for it buy talon sprocks and you cany go wrong

George,
As Shane said more wear with a 15 front is bollox, the chain will be fine if you do want to fit a 43, give me a shout got them in stock.

im gona have to disagree with you all (well sort of)
if you fit a front sprocket with fewer teeth than standard it will revolve more times per mile than the standard this increase sprocketwear.
the increased torque and strain being put on the chain because of lower gearing or final drive ratio may also increase chain wear on the chain depending how you ride it.

the question is how much more wear?

have a look at this website http://gearingcommander.com/gearingcommander.com by entering the number of teeth on each sprocket it will calculate chain length, RPM in each gear, top speed and suggest wether it is better or worse for chain wear.:thumbup

Aye but you spend all your time cleaning oil off the back of the bike, any way whats the best lube for the chain as in doesnay flie off or i fink the technical term is anti fling or some ****,ive had a few different types and i'm still pissed off cleaning the **** up...
