Im transfering my Techtronics shifter from my old bike ,but not sure which wire to go on the coils ,wiring was never my strong point cheers:dowhat

Here's what I got from John at Trickshifter - coil wiring I would assume is the same for the Techtronics

TrickShifter Installation on Aprilia RSV Mille

From Trickshifter to Coils

Connect:

Orange to Positive (Brown / White)
Blue to Supply
Brown to Switched 12v (use brake light loom if available)
Black to Earth (use battery negative)
Red to Shift rod
Black / Red to Shift rod

On the Shift Rod there is a 3 wire connector

Connect:

Red to Red
Black / Red to Middle wire of connector
Blue wire = Redundant

On the Mille:

Brown / White wire on coils = positive

Much the same ,like the use of the brake switch cable, which wire on the coils did you connect to I have green/grey ,yellow/pink(coils on the right) and green/grey, blue/yellow (coils on the right) cheers

looking at my loom that mate gave me from his racebike he's spliced into the blue/colour wire, however looking at the manual it looks like the positive to all coils are the green/colour wiring. Do you have a manual Jake?

Here's what I've pulled off the Techtronics Website

Wire Colours/ Information
Red - To Injection Supply + or Ignition Coil +

So a quickshifter must kill the spark briefly when changing? Do you keep the trottle on when changing?

I change up without the clutch quite a bit and roll the throttle off briefly, so a QS would take away the need for this?

I dont know anything about them so I am trying to work out what they do.

Hey a15cro, yep thats exactly what they do (some will kill both spark and injector - but apparently yht older mille's had a habit of switching to limp mode if you changed up too many times in short succession if they were wired to kill both, so recommended to wire to coild only).

Yes you keep the throttle pinned when changing
